Facebook has grown from being a way of socializing, and has now graduated to a brand marketing tool. Today, any business that does not have a Facebook profile is not maximizing its marketing efforts. Every website has a Facebook “like” button which connects visitors to the Facebook page.
Today there are scripts that have been created that will reward users if they like a page, or product. For example, a user can worse through a website, and is invited to “like” a certain product.
Instead of simply going ahead and drifting from the page, the user will get a promo code, which he or she can redeem when buying that particular product. More advancement is being developed behind this simple “like” button.
The Facebook like button user interface is very simple to understand. The user clicks on the Facebook like button, and a new window will open up asking the user to log in to their Facebook profile. Once the user does so, he is automatically listed as having liked that page.
Any communication on Facebook that the website places will be connected to the profile of the user, and he or she can read all about the new products, services, discounts etc, that the owner of the page is offering.
The face book like page user experience has undergone a lot of changes. In the past, people just liked pages indiscriminately, but as users have become savvy with this button, they only like pages that truly appeal to them. Of course developers are coming up with ways to make this experience better for users.
Certain promotions and discounts will soon be incorporated into the button. Users will have to like a product, page, website or service in order to access the goodies behind the button, and this will make shopping online a wonderful, exciting experience.
